“Junior Club Captain Award”
Awarded to a swimmer (from Tadpoles to Dolphins) who has achieved something over and above the expectation, or stood out over their peers for a specific reason.
“Senior Club Captain Award”
Awarded to a swimmer (from Sharks to Top Squad) who has achieved something over and above the expectation, or stood out over their peers for a specific reason.
The club recognises that not all swimmers are the fastest in their age group or are achieving PB’s every time they swim but may have overcome a specific personal goal or behaved in a way that shows another positive attribute, for example, trained extra hard, never gave up to achieve that legal butterfly stroke, been a supportive team mate at a meet, or even dived to the bottom of the pool for the first time!
In recognition of personal achievements, swim Teachers, Coaches and Team Managers can nominate a swimmer at the end of every term who they feel who is deserving of a Club Captain Award!
Our four Club Captains (Becky, Ben, Katie and Kai) will then consider all nominations and announce one winner from Tadpoles to Dolphins and one winner from Sharks to Top Squad.
Both swimmers will be presented with a Gold Swimming Cap (to keep and wear with pride!) at one of their last training sessions of the term, in front of their group, by a Junior or Senior Club Captain.
The winners will feature also in the Newsletter.
